Welcome to GameOn. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and related services.

By using GameOn, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Profile information: Preferred playing position, skill level, and optional bio that you provide.
• Location data: We request access to your location to show you nearby football matches. Location is only accessed when the app is in use.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification token for sending match alerts.
• Usage data: Match postings, applications, ratings, and in-app activity.
• Camera and photos: Only when you choose to upload a profile picture. We do not access your camera or photos without your explicit action.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Connect teams with available players
• Show you nearby matches based on your location
• Send push notifications about match updates, applications, and reminders
• Calculate and display player reliability scores
• Process credit purchases and manage subscriptions
• Improve and maintain the app
• Comply with legal obligations

GameOn requests access to your device's location to find football matches near you and to set match locations when posting. Location is only accessed when the app is actively in use (foreground). We do not track your location in the background.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. Note that disabling location will limit the app's ability to show nearby matches.

We request access to your photo library solely to allow you to set a profile picture. We do not scan, analyze, or store any photos other than the one you explicitly choose to upload as your profile picture.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider that stores your account data securely.
• Google: For authentication via Google Sign-In.
• Apple: For authentication via Apple Sign-In.
• RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Expo / Firebase: For delivering push notifications.
• Other users: Your name, profile picture, position, and reliability stats are visible to other users as part of the matching experience.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or business purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

GameOn is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored securely.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
